Why a fundraising campaign?

In order to continue our activities, we must take care of our infrastructure. Therefore, in 2025, we will begin major renovations and upgrades to our building to bring it up to standard.

We hope to raise funds from municipalities, politicians, businesses, foundations, and the general public in order to implement our renovation plan.

All funds raised will be used exclusively for our renovation project. Every donation is valuable, and your support is essential to enable us to continue offering our essential services throughout MRC Roussillon.

This budget will allow us to meet the following objectives:

  • Ensure the longevity of the building and its services
  • Preserve our uniqueness (repair service and furniture sales)
  • Meet building inspection and standards requirements
  • Meet safety requirements
  • Provide employees with adequate common areas
  • Optimize store space and aisle accessibility
  • Create a larger space for food assistance
  • Improve the customer experience in the thrift store
  • Renovate and redesign store space
  • Move employee room to the 2nd floor
  • Install freight elevator in basement for access to storage
  • Improve circulation areas
  • Replace floors
  • Repair leaking ceilings
  • Repair foundation cracks
  • Replace windows
  • Plumbing, electrical, fire system

Message from the Executive Director

At Nouvelle Chance, we respond to the essential needs of our community. Housing, clothing, and food are fundamental necessities for feeling safe and secure. When people face financial difficulties, precarious situations, or vulnerability, we are here to offer our help.

By meeting these urgent needs, we hope to give each person the opportunity to focus on overcoming their difficult situation and moving forward. That’s why we value the importance of giving back, knowing that even a small gesture can have a significant impact in the lives of many.

We rely on your generosity so that we can continue supporting as many people as possible. However, to achieve this, we must also take care of ourselves and our building by carrying out necessary renovations.
